The Nobel Sustainability Trust Foundation (NSTF) awarded the first Sustainability Medal for “Outstanding Contribution to Sustainability” in 2022.

The first awardee is Mr. Xie Zhenhua, Special Envoy for Climate Change and Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People’s Republic of China until 2024. Mr. Xie was awarded for his tremendous contribution to address global climate change as well as for building international cooperations in sustainable development. The Nobel Sustainability Trust also awarded the medals for Outstanding Contribution in Sustainability to Dr. Zheng Wu (founder of the World Carbon Neutrality Council) and Mr. Collin O’Mara (President and CEO of the National Wildfire Federation) for their great efforts and longstanding commitment to support global sustainability initiatives.
